Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at Lion & Swan Hotel on Monday 21st March 2016. Chairman Don Cole welcomed the members, Richard Gowling, a guest and the speaker. David Heard who organised a visit to JCB thanked members who went on the trip. Members and guests enjoyed a well organised factory tour followed by an excellent lunch.
Next trip is a visit to RAF museum in Cosford organised by Trevor Adams in April. A multi-day trip is planned for July to Bletchley Park and a visit to National Trust property at Hughenden.

Don Newling reported on our successful Snooker Group which meets Tuesday mornings and turn out from members has been excellent. Everyone seems to enjoy the game and the banter that goes with it.
Spring Lunch was held on Thursday 17th March at The Vicarage in Holmes Chapel and organiser Doug Mac Kenzie thanked the members for attending the lunch. Being St.Patrick’s Day, Doug MacKenzie had organised for Irish music to be played at the lunch. Albert Dunseath of U3A Orchestra, Alsager played the flute. He was accompanied by David Williams of South Cheshire Concert Band who played Electronic wind instrument. When Danny Boy was played members joined in to sing.
Speakers for the day for March were David and Valerie Chant who made an informative presentation on Falconry which is their passion. Several birds of prey were brought to show to members.
