Our speaker next Monday is David Walmsley and he will be giving us a talk on the subject of ‘The Russian Revolution’. David is an Oxford history graduate and a retired secondary head teacher. He gives a number of history talks on a wide range of topics to raise money for a community walking project which he helps to run in Trafford. This talk covers the last three Tsars of the Russian Empire and how Russia was engulfed in a series of revolutions, resulting in a Bolshevik take-over and victory in the civil war.
