Our speaker on the 20th of March will be Peter Webb and his subject will be ‘Fracking’.
Peter Webb started in geology at the age of 4, when he collected his first fossils in his back garden in Worthing, at the foot of the South Downs. He graduated from London University in 1967 with a BSc in Geology, and then spent 4 years in Kenya doing a PhD on the rift valley volcanics.
Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at Lion & Swan Hotel on Monday 16th January 2017. Chairman Paul Hibbert welcomed members. Two of founding members Peter Jordan and Alan Topliss passed away and members observed silence in their memory.
