Congleton Dane Probus Club held their Annual General Meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 17^th of November and Chairman Roger was pleased to welcome thirty one members to the meeting. Gordon Watkin was then able to propose Grant Bremner for membership of the Club, Don Cole seconded the proposal and the application was unanimously approved.

Monday the 20^th of October and Vice Chairman Don Newling was pleased to welcome guest Grant Bremner as well as the speaker for the day Ray Jackson MBE.

Don was able to give out more details about the proposed trip to Holland in May of next year, the dates now being from the 10^th to the 13^th of May but the price staying the same at £287 per person and this to include all evening meals.

Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 15^th of September and Chairman Roger welcomed the members, particularly new member Ted Harrison and also the speaker for the morning, Helen Tenwolde from Alderley Edge. He presented Ted with his lapel badge and information folder and Ted gave the members some information on his background and his business life and experience. The members made him very welcome.

Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 18^th of August and Chairman Roger Smith was able to present new member Michael Saunders with his lapel badge and document folder. Michael gave his introductory speech and was welcomed into the Club.

Don Newling gave members an update on the situation regarding the forthcoming trip to the Manchester Science Museum and asked that anyone interested should please add their name to the list as time was now getting short.

Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 16^th of June and were pleased to welcome guest Michael Saunders to the meeting along with the speaker for the day Bob Kermeen.

Chairman Roger Smith was able to tell the members that the new plaque had been placed at the entrance to the hotel and hoped that members would take the opportunity to see it for themselves.

Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 19^th of  May and were pleased to welcome new member Trevor Adams to the Club and also guest Terry Soult.

Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 14th of April and the meeting was particularly well attended, due in part to the speaker for the day being the well-known Peter Slack.

Chairman Roger Smith opened the meeting by welcoming members and the speaker. The secretary thanked the members for their help with their car registrations and emphasised the need for them to be kept up to date.

Thirty four members of Congleton Dane Probus Club enjoyed a lively meeting at the Lion and Swan on Monday the 17th of February. Vice-chairman Don Newling opened the meeting by welcoming the two guests, Trevor Adams and Tim Gresty, along with the speaker for the day Pete Turner, who was in fact making his third appearance at the Club.
