Thanks were expressed in his absence to Paul Nadin for organising a successful trip to the brewery museum as Burton-on-Trent. It was confirmed that several trips are being planned for 2016 including visits to JCB at Rocester, and to the RAF Museum at Cosford, as well as a two-day visit to Bletchley Park, and another attraction in the same area, during the summer.
It was reported that the recent Autumn Lunch had been very successful, and that the Spring Lunch, with a St Patrick’s Day theme, was being organised. The Club also has a thriving Snooker Group which meets every Tuesday morning.
The Club is always concerned about the welfare of members and this month there were reports on the health of a number of members who were unable to attend the meeting.
The Guest Speaker for the day was George Nolan, who gave an interesting and well-presented talk on his life as a football referee, starting in Wales at the age of 14 and ultimately becoming an international referee.
The next meeting will be on Monday 14th December at 10:00 am for 10:30 and will be followed by the Christmas lunch.
